Mexico’s Stance on FIFA Forward Enterprise
Following the formal presentation of Gianni Infantino's project, four out of five confederations rejected the idea of selling the rights to major tournaments like the World Cup to a private entity. However, Mexico took a different stance and is in favor of this proposal.
According to Carlos Ponce de León during the program INFILTRADOS on RÉCORD, the Mexican Football Federation believes that such an investment could bring positive growth to football. 'I do believe it’s positive for football that there will be a professional or World Cup growth within four years,' said Carlos Ponce, highlighting Mexico's support.
