The Pericos de Puebla defeated the Diablos Rojos del México 2-0 in the Zona Sur Semifinal, capitalizing on Trevor Bauer's poor performance and José Rondón's offensive power. Bauer allowed four runs in his start, his second playoff loss in LMB history after his victory in the 2024 Zona Sur Final Game 1. Puebla's offense, led by Carlos Sepúlveda and Robinson Canó, opened the scoring with two runs in the first inning, but the visitors tied it in the second thanks to Rondón's home run. In the sixth inning, Rondón's blast put the Pericos ahead again, while their bullpen sealed the win. The series now shifts to Puebla, where the Pericos aim for their first playoff LMB title.
